Strategic Action Planning – Your Association’s roadmap that shows you where you want to go and the route to take to get there. AR understands that it is the development, implementation, execution, and subsequent monitoring of a strategic action plan that is critical to the organization’s success. We not only help you plan the route, we help you stay the course to achieve your agreed upon goals and objectives to get you to your destination – then help you determine where to go next.

Board and Leadership Development – Associations depend on their members for both leadership and to be their volunteer workforce. Board orientation and succession planning are key services AR provides to help clarify the roles and responsibilities and ensure a strong working relationship to achieve the goals and objectives of your Association.

Financial Management – All associations are dependent upon having the financial resources to support the mission and activities it strives to achieve. Equally important is the management of those resources. AR’s financial processes meet or exceed accepted accounting practices.  Our services cover all income and expense responsibilities, budget preparation, monitoring, and tracking, investment management, and reporting on a client determined schedule. To assure independence, audit and 990 preparation are conducted by direct-billed contractors approved by the client leadership.

Meetings and Events – Your meetings are your most visible programs that bring the greatest exposure and in-person contact for your association. AR’s experienced meeting planners and staff annually execute more than 150 meetings in size from 10 – 2,300 attendees, including international settings. Clients can opt to take advantage of our full scope of meeting services, including: site selection, contract negotiation, registration, event logistics and program coordination, speaker management, sponsorship and exhibitor relations, as well as onsite staffing. Our team manages the details that allow you to focus on content and connection in your areas of expertise.

Membership Recruitment and Retention - Is your association membership growing? …decreasing? …staying the same? What is the potential membership? Is your association membership local, national, or international? Individual, organization, or hybrid? There are many facets to membership success. AR works with your leadership to fully understand the unique value your association offers its members and assess offerings against member and stakeholder input. Membership retention and recruitment are strongly aided by a rich and diverse program that addresses constituent needs. AR works with your leadership to identify and implement new ideas and strategies that focus on membership retention and growth.

Communications - Today’s associations must communicate using multiple media to reach current and prospective members. The key is understanding your unique branding and the vehicles that reach the targets best, whether email, print, website, social media, even old-fashioned phone calls; then utilizing them effectively and efficiently. From your web presence to promotional brochures to event programs, AR’s communications team will design and produce the materials that make your association look good and deliver your message.

Governance – It is important for associations to have current governance documents that represent the organization’s purpose and practice. AR provides bylaws and articles of incorporation reviews as well as policy documents to ensure that practice and documentation are in alignment.

Accreditation and Certification – Credentialing is an important service that associations provide its members – whether individuals or institutions – that often is the unique service that makes your association an exclusive choice. AR’s experience includes establishing credentialing programs, promoting their value, administering training and testing, and maintaining accurate records to ensure a quality program is provided.

Education and CEUs – Education is a point of emphasis for associations, including most AR clients. We understand the value that continuing education and training provide your current and prospective members and work with you to ensure program delivery, whether in-person or online offerings. AR has extensive experience with Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits in multiple fields, and can manage the process from application to documentation.

Surveys and Evaluations –Data helps associations plan, evaluate, and make better decisions. At AR, we help your association strategically develop surveys with a purpose that encourage response and provide useful information. These include event evaluations, market analyses, and member satisfaction studies. We’ll work with you to assess your programs and use the results productively.
